Wymondham Windmill
Relax in our family-friendly tearooms, explore the natural wood, and shop in our boutique shops, all of which are unique to our 200-year-old Windmill site. Wymondham Windmill has something for everyone.
The 7-acre visitor site is open 364 days a year and welcomes 35,000 people each year. Vincent and Sarahjayne Fletcher own and operate the Tea Room, which offers lunch and pastries and serves as a meeting place and attraction.
The windmill is the focal point of the site, and visitors are welcome to explore it. The Windmill is a five-story tower mill built in 1814 from local ironstone and capped with brick. It has a fantail and an ogee cap. Originally equipped with six patent sails, it was known as the Six Arm Lincolnshire Cross.
Ferneley’s Dairy Barn Café & Adventure Golf
Ferneley’s Icecream and Dairy Barn Café is located close to their farm and overlooks the beautiful Leicestershire countryside. They hope to create a welcoming and relaxed environment for everyone to enjoy. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Outdoor play spaces are now available.

The farm-fresh Whole Milk from their herd of cows, which is milked twice a day, is the most significant ingredient in Ferneley’s Ice Cream. Every day, Ferneley’s milk is collected from our farm and sent to the Ice Cream Kitchen. Through the special viewing window in the Café, you may be able to see the chef transform fresh milk into Ferneley’s Ice Cream.
The Dairy Barn Café is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. At 3 p.m., the kitchen closes. The ice cream shop is open till 5 p.m.
Every day from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., milk vending machines sell farm-fresh whole and semi-skimmed milk. Bring your own clean container or bottles, or buy a Ferneley’s Milk bottle from the Café.

The Northfield Farm, Shop, and Butchery
One of the first farm shops to open in the area. Based on our family grassland farm, we specialise in beef, pork, and lamb from classic and rare British breeds that have been extensively reared. One of our specialities is homemade hams, bacons, and salamis. A fantastic range of meats, including some of the best dry-aged beef in the country.
We have a diverse selection of wines, as well as locally created beers and ciders.
On Fridays and Saturdays, we also sell locally produced bread, as well as a variety of ambient items such as pastas, sauces, and condiments.
We also provide national mail-order delivery as well as local delivery.
